Improving the productivity of Greater Manchester businesses will be central to growing the region's economy
Greater Manchester Combined Authority, with the Growth Company and the four GM universities have developed the Leadership HIVE to provide businesses with the support they need to develop their leadership and management skills, and thereby grow their business.
Evaluating the HIVE
Over a two year period we are evaluating the performance and impact of the Leadership HIVE. We are running repeat rounds of business survey work, combining this with case study research with businesses and data analysis.
We are tracking businesses throughout their involvement with the HIVE.
The evidence generated by the evaluation is helping the GM Combined Authority and its partners to learn more about the opportunities and challenges that GM businesses face when seeking to access leadership and management support. The research is generating insights on the contrast between online and face-to-face businses support and the impact it has upon businesses. The evaluation will inform Greater Manchester's thinking and strategy for how to use the UK Shared Prosperity Fund to drive GM's economic growth in the coming years.
